What is Teddy Bears and Critters Australasia

It is an association of soft sculpture artists and craftspeople from Australia and New Zealand, who are committed to working together to help one another and to promote themselves and their artistry.

It allows you to:

  • take advantage of co-operative advertising promotions
  • participate in on-line shows
  • have a gallery of your own where you can exhibit your latest creations
  • be a featured artist on the website (one will be chosen each month)
  • have a banner displayed and linked to your site

Who can become a Full Member?

Australian and New Zealand artists/hobbyists who make teddy bears and/or critters (sorry no dolls) from mohair, alpaca, recycled fur, fabric, fibre or yarn.

Membership is juried and all memberships are subject to administrative approval.

Levels of membership are undergoing review and for the time being everyone will be on the same playing field.

What does Full Membership include?

  • Membership is for 12 months
  • International media advertising
  • Your participation in one on-line show per year
  • You receive one page in our gallery, featuring a biography and description of your work, with photos of your latest creations (up to 10)
  • Your banner will be displayed and linked to your site
  • You will be provided with a membership banner to display on the home page of your website (and blog if you have one) and this must be linked back to TBACA (this confirms your commitment to promoting the awareness TBACA)

How much does it cost?

Just $120 AUD per year, that's just $10 a month or the price of one small bear! 

How do I register?

Please email for an application form, fill it in and return ASAP. You will then receive a PayPal invoice for your annual subscription. Upon receipt of this your application will be processed.

Once your application has been processed (1-3 days) you will receive another email confirming your acceptance, with a request for your banner (468 x 72 pixels in .jpg format), your biography, including a short description of your work and three to five colour photos (.jpg 300 dpi) of your best work for your gallery.
