Nancy, I just read your story - what an interesting life you have. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to watch the shuttle launch, let alone from your own backyard!! That would be awesome! Hugs Marg PS: Love your little senior (

Very nice to know you better, Nancy. I had no idea you grew up in Maryland...my son, Joseph, is entering UMD in August in their sociology Ph.D. program. I understand there's an annual bear show in Maryland every November, too.
I would love to see some of your early bears since I can only imagine you making your sweet, happy little guys now.
I'm the very proud new mom of one of Nancy's new Puppy Grrls line, a little wheaten Scottie girl in an adorable little dress, thanks to Nancy agreeing to a swap with me.
Good to know you better, Nancy.

I had forgotten this was coming up. Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Yes, we really love living here....it's like paradise everyday. Marlys: My high school graduation was held at Cole Field House at UMD. My parents were both native Marylanders, as were their parents. You can see some of my early bears on the gallery page of my website.

Hi Nancy, I loved your little story my husband has a dream to see a space shuttle go up one day we have something in common though I am a dog person too and have two a the moment as well. Scary business those hurricanes do you think you will get used to them? I loved Gilligan's Island how exciting meeting the stars and something else I have done Judy's ebearz classes for felted faces, isn't it a small (bear) world. I really like your little bears especially the girls in dresses hope to get to know you even better through the swap coming up. TTFN Raewyn

Hi Nancy, It was great reading your article and learning a little more about your life. How cool is that being able to watch the space shuttles from your garden. You could rent out garden seats for each launch. I loved Gilligans Island too and used to race home each day after school to watch it. Give your beautiful doggies a cuddle from me. Hugs, Christine. xxx
