About Me
Hi,
I am a Bear and Doll Artist living in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. I am a single mum to two great kids - Luke and Eleisha. I have been making and redesigning dolls for 6 years and making bears for 2.5 years. I love all kinds of crafts as do my kids and love trying new things. Hi ! I am new on this site still trying to find my way ...
Making teddy bears always was a wish, until I started an evening course after my retirement. I also knit trousers and dresses for my bears. It makes them look very "personal" doesn't it. Living in Belgium ..it is 7.30 pm and very cold. Do you also have your own site ? Josée

I taught myself but a great site for tutorials is www.masterbearcrafters.ning.com Joanne has tutorials on this sites! I do mine differently...the main thing is to work out how to line up for symmetry and be aware that the wool will felt down to about a third if felting tight...if you felt tight it is easier to colour or shade. You are sculpting it into shape with the felting needles so check for shape and symmetry all the time as you go! Hope this helps! Cheers Lindaxxx |
